Viewpoint Discrimination & Approval of Evil

Dr. Alexander Kurian

"Although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but give hearty approval to those who practice them" (Rom.1:32). Did you know that some popular social media platforms are against morality and bent upon supporting evil. They suppress the stories of those who have changed their gay life style. They are not in favor of ex-gays and have even removed the pages of ex-gay organizations. They want to stand with the gay community and oppose all attempts of conversion therapy, exposing it as dangerous. This comes from the popular idea that homosexuality is innate and immutable, that you are born that way, and the change of any kind is impossible. The entire pages of some ex-gays, pro-life, pro-morality groups are shut down and removed from the social media platform. The news media, social media and some political parties are acting in cooperation with LGBT leaders and try to silence all opposing voices, especially of evangelical Christians. We have seen what is happening in California and elsewhere. Abortion clinics, strip clubs, marijuana dispensaries can all function freely. Riots and protests are allowed without regard to the mandated health and safety ordinances. But there is targeted discrimination against churches. They take Covid as an excuse to trample on the constitution. Even some scientists, researchers, and doctors also are politically motivated and act in servitude to the liberal agenda. Viewpoint discrimination is a big problem in our culture. Sad to say, many of our young people are dangerously misled by false propaganda by these liberal anti-Christian radicals. In the name of racism, social justice, progressive thinking, science, intellectualism, recognition in academia, social acceptance, the liberal leftists take advantage of the young generation. Peer pressure also push them into the traps of these evil schemes. I hope and pray that our young people may hold on to a clear and solid biblical worldview with strong convictions, analyzing all the moral issues involved in the light of God's revelation. Yes, right biblical thinking in a world gone wrong. Remember, "the fear of man brings a snare" (Prov.29:25). Let us not "love the approval of men rather than the approval of God" (John 12:43). "If I were trying to please men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ" (Gala.1:10). This is a responsible and accountable choice we have to make.
