Racism & Reconciliation

Our faith is rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the most important concepts in the Gospel is "Reconciliation." The early church had to fight for the unity of the Jews & Gentiles. Though such unity wasn't natural to them, standing on the Gospel, they fought for it without compromise. Even among many Christians today the bias, prejudice, "attitude" and mindset related to, ethnicity, nationality race, color still exists in different forms and shapes. We forget the fact that we all are created equal in the image of God and we have only one identity - either we are in Adam (fallen, in bondage to sin) or in Christ. Difference and diversity are not problems; they are part of God's unique design.The redeemed people in heaven are from every tribe and language and people and nation (Revelation 5:9). Let us not forget it. Hold on to it, stand for it, proclaim it, demonstrate it. Place your history, background, and culture under the rule of Christ. Then we will enjoy the sweetness of the Gospel of reconciliation in a greater measure. Let us continue to pray for a hurting world that does not know the true meaning of reconciliation.
