Leadership & Church Gathering

Remembering the Lord during the pandemic lock down has been a controversial issue in many churches. But godly leaders with pastoral sensitivity, spiritual vision & discernment helped the congregations in planning viable options for worship & Remembrance. But in some churches no options are given. Spiritually passionate believers longing for worship are suppressed, ignored or silenced. No spiritual, biblical reasons are given; only a parade of legalistic rules & regulations. Many of such believers are burdened about this and are seeking counsel. This situation draws our attention again to a very serious issue - the lack of called, commissioned, committed, qualified, gifted, shepherding elders, with "integrity of heart and skillfulness of hands" to lead the people of God; leaders who know the right way to go, to go that way themselves, and then to show the way for others. Yes,leaders who can influence God's people towards God's purposes. Let us earnestly pray for this most urgent need that God may raise up leaders "who understood the times with knowledge of what Israel should do."
